Did TRP+Super Visa Withdrawn Dad No Status 9 Yrs in Canada
-
I applied for a super visa for my father through my lawyer. My father lived in Canada without status for 9 years. My lawyer told me that a TRP needs to be done. After the lawyer applied for the TRP, the status shows “Super Visa Application Withdrawn”. I am very upset now and lawyer is asking me to wait for the letter. Who may have withdrawn the super visa application?

Since your father lived 9 years without any status in Canada; therefore, a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) was required to overcome the inadmissibility of your father to Canada. It seems that your father’s TRP has been accepted; therefore, the super visa application shows withdrawn. Your father may be allowed to visit you for a short term in Canada, not necessarily 2 years as allowed in provisions of super visa.
