Deleted UserAugust 6, 2020 at 4:20 pmMy mother came to Canada on a super visa in September 2018 and the officer at the port of entry gave her two years of entry. The officer stamped the date of arrival and along with that he put the stay till September 21, 2020. My mother’s passport was valid till April 30, 2020. I have renewed her passport now. But what about her status in Canada? I want to extend her stay in Canada due to covid-19 travel restrictions. What can we do about this period of stay since April 30, 2020?

An officer can not stamp passport beyond the validity of it, it is a mistake happened on officer’s part. You can apply for visitor record application with a new passport and for proof of legal status you can use those stamps of entry. You can explain the situation in an additional letter.
