Can I hire My Relative As A Home Child Care Provider For My Child

I wanted to know if I can give employment to my relative as a Home Child Care Provider for my child? I want to hire my aunt to look after my child and also teach him our cultural subjects and help him with daily tasks. My child has suffered from disability and he is very comfortable with my aunt; therefore, I want her to take care of him. I am willing to pay her the median wage and everything as per the employment contract. Is it possible?

Yes. It is totally acceptable by IRCC if you want to hire a relative as your child’s caregiver. There is no legal prohibition against hiring a relative. The need has to be beyond doubt bona-fide, and all other employment conditions and eligibility requirements met as well.
