I submitted my work permit application and made a mistake in the main application form IMM 5710. The section where the highest level of education is asked, I put my most recent Canadian Education. I have done Master’s Degree from back home. I was confused that Post graduation work permit is to be issued on the basis of Canadian education. Therefore, I mentioned the most recent study I did in Canada. What should I do? Should I withdraw this application?

There is no need to withdraw your post-graduation work permit application. You can update your highest level of education by submitting a IRCC web form request. Also, fill again a new application form and upload as an attachment with your IRCC web form.

It’s important to note that for the PGWP, the focus is on the Canadian educational credentials. However, accurately representing one’s complete educational background is crucial. If an error occurs in the application, it’s advisable to submit a correction through the IRCC web form, including an updated IMM 5710 form with the correct information.canadavisa.com
