    hello,

Can you let me know, What’s the difference between a Study Permit and a Temporary Resident Visa?

A temporary resident visa is a document that allows you only to enter/re-enter Canada as long as it’s valid. A study permit, on the other hand, is a document that permits you to study and stay in Canada legally as a student as long as it’s valid.

A study permit is not usually required if you are taking a course that is less than 6 months in length.

After graduation, you can stay in Canada if you want to apply for post graduation work permit.

Also, if you have been offered a job and you will apply for LMIA-based work permit. Otherwise you can only stay in Canada until you allowed stay.

    Hi,

Is credit given for experience gained during post-secondary studies?

If you have completed studies in Canada in a DLI college/ university/educational institute, you will get benefit when you will apply for permanent resident application under economic classes of immigration such as Canadian experience class, federal skilled worker, federal trade worker, PNP etc.
