LMIA + Job Offer – Different Employers Work Experience & CRS

My cousin would like to file an application for himself under the Canadian experience class category. He completed his one year of qualifying Canadian work experience in NOC level B position in 2019. He has now gotten a new LMIA with a Job Offer. He is wondering whether he will be able to get points under CRS for having a LMIA + Job Offer even though this LMIA and Job offer is not with the same employer from where he completed his one year work experience? How many points will he actually get for the LMIA + Job Offer?

As per the IRCC rules and regulations, you will receive points under Express Entry for having a valid job offer as follows:

– 200 CRS points for NOC 00 jobs

– 50 CRS points for any other NOC 0, A and B jobs.

It does not matter if your qualifying work experience was with a different employer than your current employer as the work experience will still be counted.
