Points Awarded Under FSW for Being Married to PR Husband
-
I want to file my PR application from India under the FSW category. I am married and my husband is a permanent resident of Canada. Can I get any point for being married to my Canadian PR husband? I do not want to get sponsored under family class. Would I be eligible?

No, you will not get any points for him being a permanent resident of Canada. But you will get points for his education, work experience in Canada, and his language proficiency skills.
However, you can get points under the adaptability section if you, your spouse, or common-law partner have a relative who is:
– living in Canada;
– 18 years or older;
– a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
The above-mentioned relative must be:
– parent
– grandparent
– child
– grandchild
– your or your spouse’s sibling (child of your or your spouse’s parent)
– your or your spouse’s aunt or uncle (by blood or marriage)
– your or your spouse’s niece or nephew (grandchild of your or your spouse’s parent)
