Requirements For Sponsorship Fiancee Will Get Married Canada
-
I went to India in the beginning of March 2020 for 5 weeks but could not return due to Covid-19 and lockdown. I fell in love with a soul mate during this period. Because of restrictions, we could not get married but we got engaged. I have photographs of engagement. There were not many guests because of lockdown. I have plans to marry once she reaches Canada. What are the requirements for sponsorship for my fiancee?

You can not sponsor your fiancee for permanent resident application. You can invite her on visitor visa to Canada. You can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada if you’re at least 18 years old and a:
Canadian citizen
permanent resident
person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act
You can only sponsor your spouse, common-law partner, dependent child, parents / grandparents, adopted child, orphaned child. Apart from that you can sponsor your only relative if you are a lonely Canadian living in Canada.

The sponsorship of fiancee category was in fact available long time ago. It disappeared on June 28, 2002 when ‘Immigration and Refugee Protection Act’ came into effect.
