Canadian Citizens – Son Abroad Compassionate Considerations
-
Our tenants have been residing in Canada for the past 30 years. They are Canadian citizens. They have a son who was born in Middle East and has been living there since birth. Their son is 40 years old now. Recently, there has been civil unrest and military attacks on civilians. The couple fears for their son’s safety. What are some options to bring the son to Canada? I heard H&C might work?

If you are looking at bringing him to Canada on a permanent basis, then H&C might be a good option for you. For your son’s H&C application, he will have to meet the requirements as set out in section 25(1) IRPA. I suggest that you retain the services of a professional immigration consultant and lawyer because H&C submission letters can be tricky and difficult to write.
