I had lived in Canada from 2010 to January 2016. Due to my personal family problems, I went back to my home country and have not lived in Canada. My PR card is still valid until January 2021.

I have no plans to stay in Canada for longer time but I want to maintain my PR status. I have planned to visit Canada next month. Will I face any issues at the Toronto airport on travelling to Canada? How can I manage to renew my PR card?

No. You will not be facing any issues upon your entry to Canada as you have valid PR card. Once you are in Canada, you should meet the residency obligation of 730 days should be spent in Canada. If you meet the residency obligation, you can apply for renewal of your PR card.
