I am a full time student in Canada. I have co-op work permit till March 2021. I have been married to a temporary resident from last one year. My spouse’s status is going to expire in November 2020. What could be the best option to extend his stay in Canada – visitor extension or spousal dependent work permit?

You can have both options of visitor record application and work permit application. You need to apply on the basis of your study permit documents not the co-op work permit. Co-op work permit has a primary objective to do work related to your study course work. For your spouse, the proof of family member in Canada is linked to your study permit.
