I heard now immediate family members of temporary residents of Canada can travel to Canada. There is some permission to travel is required for them. Can you please tell me detailed procedure for that?

Yes. The immediate family members of Canadian citizens and Permanent residents of Canada are exempted from any travel restrictions. They must need a quarantine plan.

The immediate family members of temporary residents of Canada need to obtain a written authorization from IRCC to enter Canada. As per IRCC,

‘To board your flight to Canada from a country other than the US, you must have written authorization from IRCC to fly to Canada. ‘

Your family members need to email at the address below:

    IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

When you contact IRCC, you must provide your

    full name

    date of birth

    unique client identifier (UCI)

    passport number

    detailed reason for travel

proof of relationship with an immediate family member in Canada

proof of immigration status of your immediate family member in Canada (copy of their study permit or work permit)

proof of temporary resident visa or eTA

You will receive response within 5 days and provided written letter of authorization to travel. Along with that letter you need to have a quarantine plan and some other supporting documents. Kindly refer to link below for more information:
