    hello,

My grandparents’ super visa will expire in 3 months. We already got their Indian passports renewed for 10 years from Consulate General of India (Toronto). Can we apply for their super visa from Canada or they will have to return to India?

If your grandparents want super visa again, you need to send them to their country of origin, i.e. India. If you simply want to extend their status in Canada, you can do it here from within Canada. This will be an extension of 6 months or a year, not 2 years as granted in a super visa category. Since your grandparents’ super visa is expiring in 3 months, you need to apply for super visa and they should be outside of Canada.

    Hello Parminder,

You can not renew the Super Visa or reapply for Super Visa for parents and grandparents within Canada. On its expiry or before its expiry you have to re-apply for a Super visa for your parents in the country of their residence (India). When they are in Canada, you can only apply for the Extention of their stay in Canada. If they want to extend your stay in Canada, they should apply at least 30 days before their status expires.

In order to apply for the super visa, you will need all the required paperwork again such as application, letter of invitation, required fee, Notice of Assessment, Job Letter, Medical report and the health insurance from a Canadian company.
