How long spousal dependent work permit applications are taking? I applied in March 2020, no response yet. Kindly suggest.

The official processing time as per IRCC website is approximately six months for dependent spouse work permit applications. But IRCC is taking more time due to pending biometrics requests for the applicant. The main cause of delay in processing is closure of biometric collection centres in and outside Canada. You have to wait patiently for further response by IRCC. The application submitted in March 2020 are still in process and deadlines to provide biometric are automatically extended.

These days, application submitted in the months of June are getting active response. Some application got finalized early than expected. Some are extremely delayed due to covid-19.
