I have a question about the language requirements for a Federal Skilled Worker when submitting an express entry profile. I recently took an IELTS score and I received the following scores: R: 7.5, W: 6.5, L: 8, S: 7.5. I read online that I need a minimum of 7 bands in each skill area in order to be eligible under the FSW category. Can I still submit my express entry profile even if I scored below 7 bands in the writing section of IELTS?

As per the FSW eligibility requirements, you must have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7. This is equivalent to a score of 7 bands in each skill area of IELTS (reading, writing, speaking, & listening). If you do not meet the language requirements, there is a high possibility that your application may be rejected. I suggest that you work on your English skills and rewrite the test and try to get 7 bands in each skill area.
