Study Permit Expiring Soon Stuck in India Because of Covid-19

My cousin came to Canada on a study permit. The study permit’s expiry date is August 03rd, 2020. As you probably know, India’s covid situation has been worsening. So currently my cousin is not able to fly to Canada. Although he is enrolled in online courses with his college.
We doubt he will be able to fly back before the expiry of his study permit. What should my cousin do? How can he come back to Canada and maintain his status?

Your cousin cannot extend his study permit while outside Canada. He has only one option to apply for a new application from outside Canada for study permit. This will be processed same as an initial study permit application. For this, he needs to meet all the requirement for a new study permit. You can read about it at following link:
