My work permit is valid for 3 years. Can I apply for a visitor record for my wife and two children ages (3 and 1) for 3 years or I should apply for one year and then apply every year? My wife will be basically staying home with our children. Is there any limit maximum length of a visitor record?

There is no limit in IRPA or IRPR, but you need to prove reasonableness. If it’s for an accompanying dependent, that length of time is reasonable. The Visitor Record should be applied for the same timeframe as the principal applicant’s work permit.
