My sister has been living in Ontario since September 2018. She was on a study permit and completed her 1st year certificate course in Health Care Management in April 2019. Due to some reasons, she did not take another program and applied for Post-graduation work permit. In October 2019, she got her 1st year post graduate work permit. She has no work experience with her as she has been working on shifts only since then. Now, her work permit is going to expire on 28 October 2020. We need your help in finding a way out as she needs to extend her work permit (or any way by which she can stay there). Could you please suggest something?

In your sister’s whole situation, she is only eligible to extend her work permit if she has a LMIA approved job offer from a Canadian employer. Post-graduation work permits can not be extended. She needs to find a job in which her employer can support her work permit application by providing LMIA. She should have utilized the work permit time to earn Canadian skilled work experience to become eligible to apply for Canadian Experience Class.
